When Madden 15 was announced last week, many gamers hoped it would usher in a new era of online multiplayer gaming.
Instead, it is proving to be a huge disappointment.
A number of users have reported the game is still launching to the wrong region, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions only appearing in a handful of markets.
However, it appears the console makers aren’t as concerned about this as they were about other issues with the game.
Players can still access Madden 15 from a local network, but it’s currently unclear when or if they will be able to access it in their local region.
A statement from Madden publisher EA Sports says the game will launch on the PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC in the US and Europe.
“As we have stated from the beginning, Madden is the only game in the series that is playable on the latest generation consoles,” the statement reads.
“We want to assure you that you will be playing the game on the newest consoles, and you can expect a smooth launch.”
Madden 15 is currently available on PS4, Xbox and PC.
